A gentle and purifying flower for the body

Dried wild pansy flowers are consumed as a light infusion or decoction, alone or in combination with other depurative plants such as burdock or white pansy. They are also used externally as a soothing lotion or compress on reactive, oily, or blemish-prone skin.

  • Infusion: 1 tablespoon for 250 ml of simmering water, infuse for 10 minutes, twice a day for a 3-week course.
  • Mild decoction: 20 g/L, boil for 5 minutes and infuse for 10 minutes. Use as a compress or bath for problem skin.
  • Association: with burdock, white pansy, nettle or fumitory for a reinforced draining action.

Precautions, side effects and contraindications

  • Gentle plant generally well tolerated.
  • Avoid if allergic to plants in the Violaceae family.
  • Prolonged consumption should be monitored in young children (medical advice recommended beyond 3 weeks).
