Bentonite clay is a very fine mineral clay, renowned for its exceptional absorption and adsorption capabilities. Its purifying action is particularly appreciated in cosmetics for the creation of detoxifying masks, hair care products, and poultices. It acts deep down to eliminate impurities and toxins, while regenerating the skin thanks to its rich mineral content.
Suitable for all skin types, it is particularly effective for oily and acne-prone skin by regulating excess sebum and tightening pores. Its absorbency also makes it an excellent ingredient in dry shampoos and natural deodorants. When mixed with water, hydrosol, or vegetable oils, it transforms into a creamy paste that is easy to apply to the face, body, or scalp.
Our bentonite clay is extracted in France using environmentally friendly processes that guarantee optimal quality. Sun-drying preserves its absorbent and remineralizing properties. Free from additives and chemical treatments, it is 100% pure and natural.

Montmorillonite, Illite, Kaolin… differences …
- Montmorillonite is unbeatable at binding toxins. It helps the skin breathe better.
- Illite supports the absorption of sebum, perspiration, etc.
- Kaolinite, very gentle, takes care of sensitive skin.
Absorbents and Adsorbents… differences…
Clay in general is known for its absorbent and adsorbent properties.
- On the surface, clay absorbs liquids, grease, or gases like a blotting paper. It is therefore very effective as a shampoo for oily hair, a beauty mask, and even for deodorizing.
- Clay also works in depth, because it adsorbs particles thanks to its ion exchange properties: clay attracts toxins and exchanges them for its minerals. Thus, it purifies the skin and contributes to its radiance and tone.
Fine, ventilated, ultra-ventilated, super-fine… differences…
This is a difference in grain size.
- Ultra-fine or ultra-ventilated clay has grains of approximately 20 microns. Ideal for masks, toothpastes and pastes.
- Surfine, Superfine or ventilated clay has grains of approximately 60/75 microns. For masks and pastes
- Fine clay, ground or crushed (coarse powder and/or pieces), generally for poultices.
