Moroccan Ghassoul Clay Superfine Ventilated Powder - Argilot™

Ghassoul, also called Rhassoul, is a volcanic clay extracted from the Atlas Mountains in Morocco. Used for centuries in hammam treatment rituals, it is valued for its gentleness and ability to purify without damaging the skin. Unlike other clays, it does not disrupt the skin's hydrolipidic film, making it suitable for all skin and hair types, even sensitive.

Mixed with water or hydrosol, Ghassoul forms a creamy paste ideal for masks, natural shampoos, or body wraps. It deeply cleanses, restores shine and volume to hair, and leaves skin soft and luminous.

Our Ghassoul clay is responsibly extracted and naturally sun-dried to preserve all its mineral qualities. 100% pure, with no additives or chemical treatments, it meets the highest quality standards.

Terms and technique:

Montmorillonite, Illite, Kaolin… differences
- Montmorillonite is unbeatable at binding toxins. It helps the skin breathe better.
- Illite supports the absorption of sebum, perspiration, etc.
- Kaolinite, very gentle, takes care of sensitive skin.

Absorbents and Adsorbents… differences…
Clay in general is known for its absorbent and adsorbent properties.
- On the surface, clay absorbs liquids, grease, or gases like a blotting paper. It is therefore very effective as a shampoo for oily hair, a beauty mask, and even for deodorizing.
- Clay also works in depth, because it adsorbs particles thanks to its ion exchange properties: clay attracts toxins and exchanges them for its minerals. Thus, it purifies the skin and contributes to its radiance and tone.

Fine, ventilated, ultra-ventilated, super-fine… differences…
This is a difference in grain size.
- Ultra-fine or ultra-ventilated clay has grains of approximately 20 microns. Ideal for masks, toothpastes and pastes.
- Surfine, Superfine or ventilated clay has grains of approximately 60/75 microns. For masks and pastes
- Fine clay, ground or crushed (coarse powder and/or pieces), generally for poultices.
