Bacopa monnieri – ancient Ayurvedic herb

A creeping plant native to tropical wetlands, Brahmi is a pillar of traditional Indian pharmacopoeia. Known as a "brain tonic" in Ayurveda, it is now recognized as an exceptional plant ingredient in many natural formulas.

Use and dosage

  • Supplementation: 1 to 2 g per day in a drink, infusion or capsule (on specialist advice).
  • Instant infusion: 1/2 teaspoon in 200 ml of hot water, mix well.
  • Hair care: as a mask (mixed with water or vegetable oil) or vegetable shampoo.

Precautions, side effects and contraindications

  • Not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
