Neutral henna powder – Cassia obovata

Unlike coloring henna ( Lawsonia inermis ), neutral henna ( Cassia obovata ) is used exclusively for its hair care properties. It does not dye the hair but sheaths it, strengthens it and restores volume and shine. It is an ideal natural treatment for fine, fragile or dull hair.

Main virtues

Strengthens the hair fiber, sheaths and adds volume, makes hair shiny and more resistant without coloring effect.

Main constituents

Chrysophanol (in low concentration), mucilages, flavonoids, tannins, plant antioxidants.

Use and dosage

  • Hair mask: Mix the powder with warm water (optionally enhanced with herbal infusion) to obtain a smooth paste. Apply generously to clean, damp hair, leave on for 30 to 90 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
  • Fortifying treatment: Use regularly 1 to 2 times per month to maintain strong and shiny hair.

Precautions, side effects and contraindications

  • Do not confuse with poor quality neutral hennas which may contain chemical additives.
  • Perform a hair test on a strand beforehand to avoid any unexpected reactions.
