Main virtues

Traditional use and dosage

  • Decoction: 1 to 2 tablespoons for 500 ml of water. Boil for 10 to 15 minutes, let it steep for another 10 minutes, then filter. Drink 1 to 2 cups per day for a short course (2 to 3 weeks).
  • Combined infusion: Can be combined with other purifying or immunostimulating plants according to tradition (e.g.: nettle, echinacea, ginger).

Precautions, side effects and contraindications

  • Avoid in case of anticoagulant treatment (possible thinning effect).
