Traditional use and dosage

  • Infusion: 1 tablespoon for 250 ml of hot water, infuse for 10 minutes. 2 to 3 cups per day for a 2 to 3 week course.
  • Decoction: 15 g/L, for mouthwash, compress or soothing lotion.
  • Oily macerate: macerated in a neutral vegetable oil (jojoba, sunflower) for 3 to 4 weeks, used for skin care and anti-inflammatory massages.

Precautions, side effects and contraindications

  • Gentle plant generally well tolerated.
  • Avoid in people allergic to Asteraceae (chamomile, arnica, yarrow, etc.).
  • Moderate internal use recommended, for limited treatment.

History and use

The daisy is an emblematic plant of European peasant traditions. Used both to treat bruises and to purify the body in spring, it has been used in family care and natural cures for generations. It is sometimes incorporated into flower essences to strengthen emotional calm and resilience.
