A versatile plant powder

In addition to its traditional use as a natural dye, Reseda powder can be incorporated into depurative or antioxidant formulations. It is sometimes combined with other diuretic or flavonoid-based plants to support elimination and circulation.

Professional use and dosage

• Loose powder: 1 to 2 g/day to be diluted in a liquid or incorporated into a semi-liquid food (compote, juice, etc.).
• Capsules: 300 to 500 mg per capsule – 2 to 3 doses/day according to recommended use.
• Vegetable dye: excellent yellow colorant to combine with alum as a natural mordant.

Precautions, side effects and contraindications

• Not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women, or for children without professional supervision.
• Avoid in case of known allergy to flavonoids or severe kidney problems.

History and traditional use

Highly prized since Roman times, mignonette has long been the main source of vegetable yellow in dyeing. At the same time, it has been used in various traditional medicines for its diuretic, astringent, and purifying effects, particularly in spring in detoxification cures.
