Licorice oil macerate is obtained by macerating the roots of Glycyrrhiza glabra in a mild vegetable oil (often sunflower). This process gently extracts the active ingredients naturally present in licorice, including glycyrrhizin, flavonoids, and glycyrrhetinic acids.
