Virgin Babassu Butter HBV is mechanically extracted from the nuts of Orbignya oleifera , an Amazonian palm tree. Undeodorized and unrefined, it retains all its natural richness: lauric and myristic acids, vitamins and phytosterols. This balanced lipid profile gives it soothing, emollient and protective properties.

Particularly appreciated for its non-comedogenic effect and dry feel, it absorbs easily without weighing down or leaving a greasy feeling. It is an excellent natural alternative to coconut oil, with better tolerance for sensitive or reactive skin.

Precautions for use

Directions for use

• Use pure on the skin or incorporate into your homemade cosmetic formulas
• Perfect for replacing coconut oil in solid recipes (balms, soaps, sticks)
• Melt in a bain-marie at around 24-30°C

Examples of use

• Combination skin facial treatment: Babassu (50%), jojoba oil (30%), white clay (15%), geranium essential oil (5%)
• Soothing superfatted soap: 20% virgin babassu, 20% shea, 30% coconut, 30% olive + 8% superfatting
