Sal, vegetable butter – HBV Oils and Butters

Stable, nourishing and structuring vegetable butter for your cosmetic formulas

Sal butter , also called Shorea butter , is a natural plant-based ingredient with nourishing, protective and film-forming properties. Rich in stearic and oleic acid, it has a firm texture that melts on contact with the skin while providing hold to cosmetic preparations. It is particularly appreciated for the formulation of balms, whipped butters and nourishing hair care products.

Originating from India and extracted from the seeds of Shorea robusta , this vegetable butter has a discreet odor and a white to cream color depending on the batch. Very stable to oxidation, it offers an excellent compromise between melting, structuring and intense nutrition, without a marked greasy finish.

Conservez vos beurres dans un récipient hermétique, à l’abri de la chaleur, de l’humidité et de la lumière. Un endroit frais (15–20 °C) est idéal. Évitez les variations de température pour prévenir le rancissement ou le grainage.
