Aromatic profile

Cocoa for depth, blood orange for fruity and citrusy contrast, vanilla for roundness, cinnamon and cardamom for the nocturnal-spicy side, a very light touch of roasted coffee for the "evening" feel, and pink peppercorns for a floral-peppery finish. The result: a dark, warm infusion, but with a burst of citrus.

History & approach

Nuit Cacao Sanguine is inspired by the confectionery/citrus pairings found in festive desserts: chocolate, orange, and sweet spices. Here, Papa Willy's version remains 100% dry, allowing for very flexible use (cold, hot, syrup, blended drinks) without requiring a specific liquid base.

Usage tips

  • Cold brew : Infuse for 12–24 hours in chilled water, filter well (cocoa + coffee).
  • Homemade syrup : water + sugar simmering, add the mixture, cover for 20–30 min, filter finely, keep refrigerated.
  • Iced cocoa-orange tea : infuse in warm black tea, filter, sweeten if necessary, chill.
  • Homemade soda : 2–3 tbsp of Blood Cocoa Night syrup + sparkling water + orange zest.
  • Creations : non-alcoholic cocktails, dessert drinks, flavored iced lattes, drink overlays.

Recipe ideas

  • Cacao Sanguine Fizz : 3 cl of syrup + 12 cl of sparkling water + blood orange zest.
  • Choco Iced Tea : iced black tea + 1 tsp of Nuit Cacao Sanguine infusion, filter, ice.
  • Orange Mocha Cooler : 2 cl of syrup + 10 cl of sparkling water + orange slice.
  • Cocoa-citrus water : cold infusion for 12 hours, serve very chilled.

Precautions for use & storage

Use only clean, dry utensils. Filter thoroughly (cocoa and coffee may leave a sediment). Store the dry mixture away from light, heat, and moisture. After processing into a syrup or sweetened beverage, refrigerate and consume within 2–3 weeks.
