Illipé, vegetable butter – HBV Oils and Butters

Firm butter of tropical origin for long-lasting protection

Illipe butter HBV is extracted from the seeds of the tropical tree Shorea stenoptera . Very rich in stearic and oleic acid, it has a firm texture, ideal for solid formulations (balms, sticks, soaps). Its lipid profile close to that of cocoa butter makes it an excellent plant-based alternative for long-lasting protective care.

It forms a nourishing film on the skin without occlusive effect and penetrates gradually. It helps restore the hydrolipidic barrier and maintain optimal hydration, while strengthening the hair fiber. It is recommended for intensive skin care and natural anti-aging formulas.

Skin type: Mature, very dry, damaged skin – Brittle, dull or frizzy hair

• Formulation of repairing balms, rich creams, moisturizing sticks
• Intensive care for damaged skin (heels, hands, elbows, etc.)

Precautions for use

Directions for use

• Melt at low temperature to facilitate incorporation into formulation
• Ideal when mixed with more fluid vegetable oils for tailor-made treatments
• Apply neat to particularly dry or chapped areas

• Hand repair stick: 60% illipe, 20% beeswax, 20% wheat germ oil
• Hair balm: 50% illipe, 25% shea butter, 25% castor oil
• Nourishing soap: 30% illipe, 30% olive oil, 20% coconut, 20% cocoa butter
